Getting from Gimhae International Airport (PUS) to Busan is relatively easy, but the best transportation option depends on where you are staying, how much luggage you have, and how many people are traveling together.

For Haeundae, you can choose between the light rail + subway, Airport Limousine 1, City Bus 307, and a taxi.

For Seomyeon, the main choices are the light rail + subway, Airport Limousine 2, and a taxi.

For Nampo-dong, you can take the light rail + subway or use Express Bus 3003 for a direct ride toward the Nampo and Jagalchi area.

The two direct buses are very different.

Airport Limousine 1 is designed for airport passengers, uses a more direct route toward Haeundae, and has dedicated luggage storage.

Bus 307 is a regular city bus. It is dramatically cheaper but makes many more local stops on its way across Busan.

If price matters most and you have time, Bus 307 can be excellent value. If you have a large suitcase after a long flight, the airport limousine is much easier.

Seomyeon is one of the easiest major areas of Busan to reach from Gimhae Airport.

If you are traveling alone with manageable luggage, rail is difficult to beat on price.

For a group, however, the calculation changes. An estimated ₩18,000 taxi divided between four travelers works out to about ₩4,500 per person, compared with ₩6,000 per adult for the airport limousine.

Bus 3003 is particularly useful if you are staying around Nampo-dong, Jagalchi Market, or BIFF Square.

The rail journey normally involves two transfers, while Bus 3003 gives you a direct ride toward the Nampo/Jagalchi area.

The trade-off is traffic: the subway is more predictable, while the bus can take longer during busy periods.


How to Take the Train from Gimhae Airport to Busan

One thing often confuses first-time visitors: Gimhae Airport is not directly connected to the main Busan Metro system.

Gimhae Airport to Haeundae

Haeundae is farther from Gimhae Airport than Seomyeon or Nampo-dong, so choosing the right transportation option matters more here.

Gimhae Airport to Seomyeon

Seomyeon is considerably easier to reach from Gimhae Airport.
