Gimhae Airport to Busan (2026): Taxi, Subway & Bus to Haeundae, Seomyeon and Nampo
Gimhae Airport to Busan: Haeundae, Seomyeon & Nampo Transportation Guide
Updated September 2026
Getting from Gimhae International Airport (PUS) to Busan is relatively easy, but the best transportation option depends on where you are staying, how much luggage you have, and how many people are traveling together.
For Haeundae, you can choose between the light rail + subway, Airport Limousine 1, City Bus 307, and a taxi.
For Seomyeon, the main choices are the light rail + subway, Airport Limousine 2, and a taxi.
For Nampo-dong, you can take the light rail + subway or use Express Bus 3003 for a direct ride toward the Nampo and Jagalchi area.
This guide was updated in September 2026 using the latest available transportation information. Fares, schedules, and bus policies can change, so check the latest timetable shortly before your trip.
Travel times below are approximate. Bus and taxi journeys can vary significantly with traffic, while rail travel is generally more predictable.
Gimhae Airport to Busan: Quick Comparison
Here is the easiest way to compare transportation from Gimhae Airport to Haeundae, Seomyeon, and Nampo-dong.
Best overall for most travelers: Light rail + subway
Best with a large suitcase: Airport Limousine 1
Cheapest direct option: City Bus 307
Best for 3–4 travelers: Compare a taxi with the limousine
The two direct buses are very different.
Airport Limousine 1 is designed for airport passengers, uses a more direct route toward Haeundae, and has dedicated luggage storage.
Bus 307 is a regular city bus. It is dramatically cheaper but makes many more local stops on its way across Busan.
If price matters most and you have time, Bus 307 can be excellent value. If you have a large suitcase after a long flight, the airport limousine is much easier.
Best overall for most travelers: Light rail + subway
Best with a large suitcase: Airport Limousine 2
Best for 3–4 travelers: Taxi can be surprisingly good value
Seomyeon is one of the easiest major areas of Busan to reach from Gimhae Airport.
If you are traveling alone with manageable luggage, rail is difficult to beat on price.
For a group, however, the calculation changes. An estimated ₩18,000 taxi divided between four travelers works out to about ₩4,500 per person, compared with ₩6,000 per adult for the airport limousine.
Best direct budget option: Express Bus 3003
Best with heavy luggage: Taxi
Best for 3–4 travelers: Compare the taxi fare
Bus 3003 is particularly useful if you are staying around Nampo-dong, Jagalchi Market, or BIFF Square.
The rail journey normally involves two transfers, while Bus 3003 gives you a direct ride toward the Nampo/Jagalchi area.
The trade-off is traffic: the subway is more predictable, while the bus can take longer during busy periods.
How to Take the Train from Gimhae Airport to Busan
One thing often confuses first-time visitors: Gimhae Airport is not directly connected to the main Busan Metro system.
If you are unfamiliar with transportation cards in Korea, see my separate guide for where to buy one, how to add money, and how to use it:
Gimhae Airport to Haeundae
Haeundae is farther from Gimhae Airport than Seomyeon or Nampo-dong, so choosing the right transportation option matters more here.
There are four practical choices:
Light rail + subway, Airport Limousine 1, City Bus 307, or taxi.
Gimhae Airport to Seomyeon
Seomyeon is considerably easier to reach from Gimhae Airport.
Your three main options are light rail + subway, Airport Limousine 2, or taxi.
Gimhae Airport to Nampo-dong
Nampo-dong is different from Haeundae and Seomyeon because the standard rail journey normally requires two transfers.
There is also a useful direct alternative: Express Bus 3003.

Before You Leave Gimhae Airport
Check the exact location of your hotel before choosing your transportation.
Haeundae, Seomyeon, and Nampo-dong are neighborhoods rather than single points on a map, and the best option can change depending on where your accommodation is located.
A Haeundae hotel near an airport limousine stop can make the bus much more convenient.
A Seomyeon hotel beside a subway exit makes rail hard to beat.
If you are staying near BIFF Square or Jagalchi Market, Express Bus 3003 may save you from making two rail transfers.
For buses, check Naver Map or KakaoMap on your arrival day for the latest departure times and stops. Bus schedules, routes, and luggage policies can change.
The Simple Version
Traveling light? Take the light rail and subway.
Traveling with a large suitcase? Check the airport limousine for Haeundae or Seomyeon.
Staying in Nampo-dong? Don't overlook Express Bus 3003.
Traveling with three or four people? Compare the taxi fare.
The cheapest option is not always the most convenient, especially after a long flight. A few extra thousand won can sometimes be worth paying to avoid unnecessary transfers with luggage.
